**Job Description:**
Sunternal, a leading solar energy company, is seeking a skilled Solar Site Survey Technician to join our dynamic team in San Jose, California. This position requires a minimum of 2 years experience in solar site surveying or a related field. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting thorough site surveys at residential and commercial properties to determine their suitability for solar installations.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Conduct detailed site surveys, including roof inspection, shading analysis, and electrical system evaluation.
– Document site conditions using photographs, notes, and site drawings.
– Utilize specialized equipment to gather necessary data for solar system design.
– Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure accurate and efficient solar system designs.
– Maintain a high standard of safety and quality in all work activities.
– Provide excellent customer service by addressing client queries and concerns during site visits.
– Ensure timely completion of surveys and accurate data collection.
– Manage and maintain company-provided survey equipment and vehicle.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum of 2 years of experience in solar site surveying or a related field.
– Familiarity with solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electrical systems.
– Ability to work at heights and on various roof types.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
– Excellent communication and customer service skills.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
– Proficient in using digital tools for data collection and reporting.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional Saturdays.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Technical degree or certification in a related field.
– Experience with CAD software and solar design tools.
