We are looking for an Business Intelligence Intern to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to our Sr. Manager, Business Intelligence and based on-site.
Location: This position will be based in San Jose, CA.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Using technical skills, business acumen and creativity, you will build tools to automate reporting and generate insight that will allow clients to quickly and accurately see key performance indicators
- Perform data analysis using tools such as SQL, Python, and Tableau
- Design and implement dashboards and reporting that enables internal clients to access, explore and monitor their data
- Collaborate with other members and cross-functional colleagues to develop meaningful data solutions
- Assist with the development of data analysis models
- Work independently to complete assigned tasks
- Perform ad hoc data investigations analysis as necessary
- The summer intern will work on real-world projects that would be both impactful to Bloom Energy and a beneficial learning experience for the individual. The work assignment will involve one or more of the following projects:
- Build dashboards for analysis and displaying key metrics (work includes both frontend and backend development in AWS)
- Develop product degradation models using cutting edge AI/ML tools and methods
- Develop a tool to monitor energy metrics and compare against contractual requirements
- Perform analysis of energy server performance at customer sites and explore business models to grow revenue
- Improve data integrity by performing analysis of telemetry data and update site system configurations
- Develop optimization models to deploy customer service maintenance schedule to maximize performance and profit while decreasing costs
- Improve cost models and pricing analytics on Bloom Energy’s long-term service contracts (including solid oxide fuel cells, hydrogen fuel cells, carbon capture solutions and electrolyzers)
Skills and Experience:
- You are currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in the following: Data Science or Computer Science. And are successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher.
- Working knowledge of PC business software applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, AWS, and Tableau
- Highly motivated and a self-starter
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Must demonstrate a bias for action and implementation
- Proven and demonstrated teamwork skills
- This internship is scheduled to begin June 2024 and end on approximately August 2024.

Salary Ranges:
$20.70 – $31.55
