Manager, Engineering

YOU are a skilled engineering professional with 5+ years of experience in PV and BESS design and application. You have a strong understanding of PV design optimization, BESS use case development, and deep technical knowledge of equipment associated with utility scale solar and energy storage projects. You have a keen grasp of the renewable power sector, key stakeholders, and the regulatory environment, staying up-to-date on relevant industry trends affecting both the business economics and the technology. You are comfortable working with and directing OEs, contractors, and suppliers – monitoring scope and deliverables, reviewing designs, establishing and communicating project needs.

You are scrupulously honest and professional in your approach to your work. You thrive in a setting where you collaborate with colleagues who are also dynamic, committed, passionate professionals.

You have your PE license and, preferably, MSEE. You are proficient in the execution of engineering designs and specifications for construction of utility scale solar and storage projects, using industry standard software to assess and analyze both PV and BESS plant performance. You have an analytical mind and can evaluate and advise on issues affecting project costs and performance. You’re extremely well-organized and comfortable setting priorities to achieve goals and targets. You communicate well, establishing productive collaboration with colleagues and external suppliers, providers, and stakeholders.

You will be based at our Chicago headquarters, and should be prepared for up to 30% travel, including to project construction sites.
