Position Overview:
seeking an experienced and driven Development Manager to lead the development of wind, and wind repower projects across multiple markets in the US. This role works closely with the Director of Development to implement wind and wind repower projects at new and existing facilities, contributing significantly to growth in renewable energy investments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle project development, including due diligence, resource assessment, site control, interconnection, permitting, and construction support.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, consultants, and vendors.
- Identify and develop new renewable energy investment opportunities across various U.S. regions.
- Negotiate real estate agreements vital to project success and coordinate with landowners and stakeholders.
- Conduct financial modeling to evaluate project profitability.
- Support asset divestitures by assisting M&A teams with due diligence to maximize returns.
- Collaborate on co-located renewable projects and stay informed of trends, policies, and technologies in the renewable sector.
- Cultivate relationships with industry partners, investors, and stakeholders.
- Contribute to strategic planning initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Finance, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in renewable energy development, specifically in wind and/or solar projects.
- Proven experience with project development, including permitting, interconnection, site control, and/or financial modeling.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage relationships with key stakeholders.
- Excellent project management skills and the ability to work within a cross-functional team environment.
