We are looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join the team in either Baltimore, Maryland or Huntington Beach, Los Angeles.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct site visits for project design and permitting.
- Develop structural and electrical designs for solar and other energy systems, ensuring compliance with regulations.
- Use tools like PVSyst, PV Watts, and financial models to optimize design.
- Manage and review detailed design activities, equipment submittals, and RFIs.
- Support project management by addressing technical issues during construction.
- Assist with final inspection approvals and project turnover to O&M teams.
- Provide technical support for interconnection applications and performance validation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of engineering experience in Distributed Generation, especially solar/BESS.
- Knowledge of National Electrical Code, IEEE standards, and medium voltage practices.
- Proficiency in design, permitting, and commissioning of energy projects.
