Position Specific Description
Our Grid Control Systems Department is looking for a Senior Engineer to join their team in Miami, FL.
This individual contributor role reports to a functional team within the Transmission & Substation (T&S) Grid Control Systems organization. This position is responsible for the planning, development, application architecture, implementation, and operations of grid control systems and corresponding applications, which include but are not limited to, Energy Management System (EMS), Distribution Management System (DMS), Supervisory Control & Data Acquisition (SCADA), and Residential/Commercial/Industrial Demand Side Management (DSM) systems in support of the (T&S) Business Unit. Development of these systems include modifying and/or de-commissioning or commissioning the associated applications, programs, and software and are required to comply with national/regional standards (e. g., FERC Orders, NERC Standards, etc.).
The selected candidate for this role will support the daily operation of the Energy Management System (EMS) including SCADA, Generation and network applications.
