**Job Description:**
Sunternal, a forefront player in the solar energy industry, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Solar Site Survey Technician for our Southern California operations, based in Pasadena. This role demands a professional with a minimum of 2 years of experience in solar site surveying or a related field, who is capable of traveling throughout the Los Angeles area and its surroundings to conduct site surveys.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Perform detailed site surveys at residential and commercial locations, assessing for solar panel installation suitability.
– Evaluate roof condition, shading, and electrical systems, documenting all findings.
– Use specialized equipment for accurate data collection necessary for solar system design.
– Collaborate closely with the engineering team to ensure high-quality solar system designs.
– Adhere to strict safety standards while maintaining high-quality work.
– Offer exemplary customer service, addressing client questions and concerns during site visits.
– Complete surveys promptly, ensuring data accuracy and reliability.
– Manage and maintain company-provided survey equipment and vehicle.
**Requirements:**
– At least 2 years of experience in solar site surveying or a related field.
– Knowledge of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and electrical systems.
– Comfortable working on various roof types and at heights.
– Detail-oriented with the ability to work autonomously.
– Strong communication skills and a focus on customer service.
– Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
– Proficient in digital tools for data collection and reporting.
– Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and travel throughout the Los Angeles area.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
– Technical degree or certification in a related field.
– Experience with CAD software and solar design tools.
