A growing renewable energy company is seeking a SVP of Business Development (M&A). This leader will oversee the sale of development-stage DG renewable energy projects, drive acquisitions to build an owned portfolio, and manage all M&A activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in renewable energy transactions, project finance, and investment strategy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sale of development-stage project portfolios, including marketing, negotiations, and buyer engagement.
- Develop and execute strategies for sourcing and acquiring renewable energy projects.
- Structure and manage transactions, including tax equity, debt, and M&A deals.
- Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth execution of transactions and alignment with business goals.
- Shape and implement the company’s investment strategy as part of the executive leadership team.
Qualifications
- Significant experience in renewable energy M&A, project finance, and business development.
- Proven track record in selling development assets and acquiring renewable projects.
- Strong expertise in financial modeling, deal structuring, and valuation.
- Knowledge of renewable energy markets, policies, and financing structures.
- Exceptional leadership, negotiation, and analytical skills.
