The Position:
The Strategic Key Account Manager is a key member of the sales organization responsible for revenue, margin, and account target growth set on an annual basis. The candidate will need to identify/manage strategic key accounts and growing those long term partnerships. The candidate will work with specific target utilities, developers, and IPPs to drive the utility business. The candidate will perform business development for this strategic account market segment and will also need to perform in the following areas but not limited to:
· Help to develop product marketing strategy and implementation schedule
· Help company to gain better brand recognition by assisting trade shows and other public functions
· Collect market information, including but not limited to, emerging market data, industry trends, product standards, and competitor’s information
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Reponsible for annually set sales targets and milestone completion for BESS sales, PCS sales, and strategic account development
· Initiates the sales process, providing preliminary and ongoing information to existing clients
· Manages the sales process by promptly responding to all inquiries and visits with clients as necessary to present information regarding Sungrow solutions and services
· Plans key account strategy and tactical approach and manages own resources to achieve the sales plan within budgetary guidelines.
· Prioritizes work assignments and follow-up responses to customer inquiries and proposals
· Manages the relationships with customers, identifying growth opportunities within the assigned accounts, and develops the approach to secure new business
· Drive all customer commercial activities, including proposal preparation, pricing, and contract negotiation
· Establish relationships with key decision-makers and align the Sungrow team with the appropriate level of contact within the customer organization
· Communicate customer requirements to the product development team to support future product planning
· Monitor competitive environment
· Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
Minimum Requirements:
· Minimum 5 years’ direct sales and marketing experience in the Energy Storage or equivalent renewable business.
· Solid understanding of the core technology and its benefits, and identification of its unique selling points
· Strong negotiation and commercial skills
· Has existing contact with active players (developer, utility and IPP) in the market.
· Pro-active self-starter, excellent negotiator, results oriented and driven sales professional.
Education or Desired License and Certificates:
· Bachelor’s degree. MBA is preferred.
· Energy Storage system-related experience is desired
