We are seeking a Sr. Director of Power Origination and Power Marketing to join a growing owner/operator. Reporting to the Executive Vice President, this position is responsible for originating new power purchase agreements, as well as marketing generation assets and storage assets, to various customers.

• Identify commercial opportunities with potential off-takers, including utilities and C&I.
• Lead negotiations of commercial contracts for wind, solar, and storage projects.
• Draft various off-take structures including PPAs, virtual PPAs, alternative off-take arrangements, build-transfer-agreements.
• Coordinate with management on renewable/storage projects, energy products, pricing, and risk management.
• Assist with due diligence of project acquisitions and project viability when needed.
• Interpret and communicate market rules, provide strategic direction to team members.
• Evaluate requests for bids. Respond with pricing proposals, term sheets, and documentation to facilitate successful negotiations.
• Collaborate with regional development team to strengthen pipeline in multiple markets.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of power marketing experience, in various technologies and markets.
• Wind, solar, storage, or thermal commercial experience is a plus.
• Extensive knowledge of PPAs, VPPs, BTA, and other various commercial/financial structures.
• Deep network of contacts with IOU, Coops, Munis, Public Power, CCAs, Corporate, and IPP energy off-take parties.
• Datacenter experience a plus, but not required.
