Job Description

A rapidly growing EPC firm in the Northeast US, recognized as a leader in the DG Solar and Storage sector, is seeking a skilled Solar Construction Manager. With a recently expanded project portfolio, the company now oversees solar DG projects across Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, and New York. This role will offer you the opportunity to oversee up to three active projects simultaneously, focusing on delivering high-quality, on-time, and on-budget solar solutions while prioritizing safety.

As the Solar Construction Manager, you’ll ensure the successful completion of each project under your supervision, adhering to strict quality and safety standards. You will lead on-site activities, coordinate teams, and maintain schedules, contributing to the successful delivery of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities for solar projects, ensuring alignment with project plans, schedules, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other team members to ensure efficient execution.
  • Implement and uphold safety protocols, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
  • Monitor project timelines and adjust schedules to meet deadlines and quality expectations.
  • Perform quality inspections to confirm adherence to specifications and resolve on-site issues as they arise.
  • Conduct regular site meetings to update stakeholders on progress, address concerns, and facilitate open communication.
  • Supervise and provide direction to subcontractors, laborers, and on-site personnel.
  • Oversee site logistics, including materials handling, deliveries, and equipment management.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, timekeeping, and photographic progress records.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years in solar construction
  • Demonstrated experience managing large-scale solar projects from inception to completion.
  • Solid understanding of construction processes, timelines, and safety standards.
  • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot and address on-site challenges effectively.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Willingness to travel or relocate as required for project assignments.
  • OSHA certification or equivalent safety credentials are preferred.
