We’ve partnered with an East Coast-based Renewables IPP and investment firm that is looking to bring on a Lead of Business Development to their team.
Responsibilities:
- Exploring new and established opportunities within the clean energy sector, enhancing our network of developer and EPC collaborators.
- Building and nurturing new partnerships while sourcing clean energy projects for potential acquisition, focusing on solar and energy storage solutions.
- Working with internal teams to create and deliver proposals and pricing strategies directly to our partners.
- Engaging in negotiations to secure exclusive agreements and facilitate the progression of projects through various stages of development and construction.
- Collaborating with the marketing team to design and implement innovative content and brand initiatives tailored to our partners.
- Conducting research, developing strategies, and launching initiatives to tap into new market opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, finance, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 4 years of experience in renewables, with emphasis on business development.
- Established a network of industry contacts with corporate entities & trade associations.
- Experience with structuring, negotiating, and executing power sale agreements for C&I offtake.
- Knowledge of the energy industry including regulated and de-regulated electricity markets and project financing structures and key value drivers.
- Strong desire to advance the adoption and deployment of renewable energy solutions across North America
- Able to work well with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
