Electrical Engineer

Electrical Engineer Job Opportunity – Grid-Scale Energy Storage – Mobile BESS

I’m looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join my client onsite in the greater Montpelier, Vermont area as they have created the first commercialized grid-scale mobile battery product.

The ideal candidate will prepare detailed electrical engineering designs and wiring schematics in accordance with applicable UL/NEC/NFPA standards, research and select electrical components, and will have a hand in development from concept through completion of construction and fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and diagrams for customer applications
• Prepare EE designs and wiring schematics in accordance with applicable UL/NEC/NFPA standards
• Prepare electrical panel designs and review assembly drawing
• Ensure compliance with design and products with applicable industry standard

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Engineering & 3+ years of relevant electrical design experience (BESS/ESS, electrical distribution, power generation, etc)
• Experience reading and designing electrical drawings and schematics
• Design experience adhering to the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA safety standards
• Good understanding of 3-phase power systems and high voltage design concepts with an emphasis on electrical distribution and cable sizing/selection

It would be preferred if you have experience with high power systems, understanding of battery chemistries, and the design software EPLAN.
