We are seeking a Director Strategy, Development to create a greenfield development and M&A strategy focused on renewable power generation. Projects include wind, solar, storage, and P2X.
This role will develop a duplicable process of evaluating markets to determine development activities in 2025/2026 and beyond. Those with experience in project development, interpreting policy, wholesale power price forecasting, and identifying commercial drivers for multiple technologies are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Use your development acumen to help create a development strategy alongside regional development directors, transmission, and commercial teams.
- Provide data driven real-time actionable strategies to grow and enhance portfolio. Produce ‘markets of interest’ targets to direct land acquisition and development teams.
- Coordinate with executive team to devise a strategy focused on identifying favorable locations, commercial strategies.
- Work with internal resources to conduct transmission analysis, power market analysis, government affairs.
- Direct M&A team to markets of interest, identify business development opportunties, advise on divestitures.
- Collaborate transmission, permitting, and land acquisition plans to support commercialization.
- Represent company at industry events such as conferences.
Qualifications
- 10-15 years of utility-scale renewable project development, with at least 1GW of completed projects.
- A technology agnostic background is a must; wind, solar, and storage.
- Bachelor’s Degree, MBA is a plus
- Excellent communication skills. Ability to present to executives and capital providers.
- Ability to travel 25%
