Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a strong background in managing energy-related projects and federal construction projects. The ideal candidate will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale projects in compliance with federal regulations, energy industry standards, and best practices. This position requires a high level of expertise in managing multiple stakeholders, budgets, schedules, and quality control on complex projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, design, and construction phases of energy and federal projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Ensure all projects meet federal, state, and local regulations, as well as energy sector standards and environmental requirements. Experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation) and DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement) is essential.
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and federal agencies. Foster a collaborative working environment to achieve project goals.
- Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and identify potential risks and solutions.
- Monitor construction activities to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications. Perform regular inspections and audits on-site.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including change orders, RFIs (requests for information), submittals, and reports.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field. PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of construction management experience, with at least 3-5 years specifically in energy-related or federal projects (e.g., renewable energy, power plants, government facilities).
- Strong understanding of energy industry standards (e.g., wind, solar, energy efficiency, power transmission) and federal project requirements.
- Familiarity with construction codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards applicable to federal projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6).
- Experience with federal procurement processes, including bidding, contracts, and compliance (FAR/DFARS).
