Associate, Project Finance

Compensation: $150k – 200k cash + bonus + EQUITY
PLEASE NOTE: Candidates must have extensive project finance experience, including modeling, structuring, and/or underwriting transactions, to be considered for this role.
The Business
Our client is a well-established player in the renewable energy space, focused on deploying capital into clean energy projects, including wind, solar, and storage across the U.S. They are building a team that will drive investments into the energy transition sector by executing large-scale transactions.
The Role
The Associate, Project Finance will play a key role in originating and executing renewable energy transactions. Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the execution of renewable energy investments, managing financial models, due diligence, and documentation from origination to close.
- Building and managing complex financial models related to project finance, tax equity, and M&A, serving as a central figure in decision-making.
- Overseeing the due diligence process, ensuring alignment with investment goals, and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Developing detailed financial and investment documentation for leadership teams and partners.
- Building and maintaining relationships with key partners, identifying new opportunities and enhancing existing partnerships.
- Demonstrating flexibility by taking on additional responsibilities, and contributing to the overall success of the team.
- Mentoring and supporting junior team members, fostering collaboration and growth within the team.
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in project finance, renewable energy investments, investment banking, private equity, or tax equity transactions.
- Proven ability to manage the transaction process, with a strong focus on financial modeling, due diligence, and investment documentation.
- A track record of successful renewable energy transactions, showcasing ownership from start to finish.
- Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills, with an ability to lead in a collaborative environment.
- A high-energy, entrepreneurial self-starter with a commitment to team success and growth.
- An MBA or degree in business, finance, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Compensation
The expected salary range for this position is up to: $150,000 – $200,000 total annual compensation. Offered salary may be based on a variety of factors including skills, experience, and qualifications for the role.
