This is a great opportunity for an Application Engineer to join a rapidly growing startup in the Energy Storage space!
As they move through this next phase of growth they are looking for an Application Engineer to join their team, reporting directly to the VP of Product. You will provide key engineering support for their distributed energy and microgrid projects. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Electrical Engineering with strong technical understanding of distributed energy technologies e.g. solar, battery, and engines/turbines.
Responsibilities🔨:
- Engage with customers to promote their BESS solutions & resolve concerns
- Provide technical documentation and feedback to help customers move the system through interconnection and permitting processes
- Ensure proposed solutions adhere to applicable industry standards and electrical engineering design principles
- Manage the BESS commissioning process
- Advise on the role of inverters and power control system technology
Requirements 📑:
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (preferred) or Mechanical Engineering
- 3+ years professional work experience in the solar, energy storage or generators
- Experience managing the entire lifecycle of a project
- Deep understanding of batter storage systems including microgrid design, control schema for different use cases (stand-alone storage, PV, microgrid with generators etc.)
- Interconnection experience
- Strong communication skills including the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical people.
